How is this headset named?

Many players were wearing them on gamescom...
Are this special ones?

e: those are some expensive Sennheiser aviator headsets, but they are being lend to players by the ESL staff. Those headsets are to reduce sound only, anyway. They are wearing Headphones under them.

The MX518 isn't SUCH a nice mouse to be honest, but whatever suits you well : /

I believe those are pilot headset given to the players to shut out sound from the event + shoutcasters.

We had them on the stage at AEF. I remember they were sennheiser. They were also battery powered and I heard a rumour that they cost 600euros. They weren't that great though, but pretty comfortable and isolated a LOT of noise.

e: You can see he isn't even using them, he is using earphones under them, they are just being used to isolate the sound. The microphone was shit too.

Earphones for gaming?

Now that you mention it, I saw United States of America rapha using them as well, can't imagine that those tiny shit things can actually produce decent sound :/

I have some sennheiser CX500 in-ears that are pretty sweet for walking around and using my MP3 player with but yeah I wouldn't like to be gaming in them exactly but I dunno... apparently some people prefer them. You can actually get comfortable/good quality ones when you start going over the 50eur mark I believe (and luxury when you get towards 200eur), there was actually a thread about it on ESR recently.

This post in particular makes some good points.
