Hi guys!
I'm kinda wondering if i want to jailbreak my Ipod touch.
So I'm interested in your personal experience with it.
my question is: Did you Jailbreak your Idevice? And why did you do it?

Best time was with the 3g and firmware 2.0 or smth like that.. no mms, no video recording, and other standart stuff. Only worked after jailbreak.
And even jailbreaking wont let you have: Any song as alarm or ringtone (only special format + 29 secs) or flash support for watching movies/clips/what ever.
Last but not least you get all the apps for free when you jailbreak it (download them + install them.. also works with 100€ TomTom app).
I always thought it would be a great device since jailbreaking always works (there isnt a version which wasnt jailbrakeable) but it sucks when (after 6 months or less) the device gets so laggy that you can even properly write an mmsn and have to re-jailbreak it. Also often the jailbreak will fuck up the phone. A common problem was to have all folders twice on the iphone. Once original, once jailbreaked.. So when it used 4gb normally, you have used 8 gb :S
lol.. jailbreaking sounds sweet, but i'm not sure yet i've heard some major cons why i shouldn't do it... hrm...
Deff. jailbreak the iphone.. else you can just throw it away :S or even better, sell it and get an HTC desire HD.
Not only that apple is retarted when it comes to apps & rules, they are also overpriced. There are alot of usefull and very nice apps which arent allowed by apple becuse it would "damage their reputiation".. just like that app for HTC news.. or alot of other stuff. And then 1 month later pretty much the same app comes from apple. when jailbreakign it you can also use apps whic h arent allowed by apple.
for ipod touch: no idea, never used that crap :S only real ipod was the first ipod movie ! :D
that's why I'm asking.
and many are doing it, I'm just wondering why :-)

This jailbreak is suppost to be unfixable by software. And easy to remove (through iTunes). I wouldn't know though, haven't updated or something :P
