Colour blind config

Hello,
As a colourblind person I sometimes find it hard to see players/objects in game and I was wondering if there were any other colourblind players of ET and other games who could share their config and advice about how to make the game better for them.
For those who don't know what its like, imagien being at the window on Supply 1st Stage shooting the Allies moving on the upper path. For me their body blends *almost* perfectly with the stone wall background. I find it hard to see them there and can only really shoot from seeing movement, the helmet, the gun and by using hit-sounds. There are other situations where there is not enough variation in colours for me to see whats happening in the game.
