Debian ET Server

I'm currently setting up a server, i installed the latest version of debian and can control it from my own pc.

I just want to try to settup a ET server on it, a war server ofc.

EDIT forget the question =D

Whats the best way to do that , and some server cfg etc would be nice

If you're on 64 bit, don't forget to get ia32-libs from apt

already got it now , but what about the server.cfg and just the normal winter10_3 cfg etc. where do i need to put the chooseable cfgs? nothing to do with linux now just the ET side

put the configs in etpro configs folder, server.cfg is either etmain or etpro, can't remember the one ^^

proly in etmain because he boots it from there, just like ur autoexec client side

so whats the difference between the folder maps and etpromapscripts there are both the map scripts, i put the map scripts of all competive maps in the folder etpromapscripts

The etpro configs define their own mapscripts directory, if you have a configpack with e.g. the latest global (winter) configs, you can just unzip that package into the etpro directory, it will put cbmapscripts or globalmapscripts into etpro (next to etpromapscripts) and the configs in etpro/configs/
Only thing for you to do then is to put 'config winter10_3' in server.cfg

If you put the mapscripts from the winter config pack into etpromapscripts, it wont work, because the winterconfig doesnt use 'etpromapscripts'

Also, if you have +set fs_game etpro in your commandline, it doesnt matter if server.cfg is in etmain or etpro

Running a server aswell here btw with sabnzbd, sickbeard, couchpotato, nfs/samba, webserver etc.

1. spend some coin on server > save rl time > hang out with friends / study / do useful things = win

2. spend all day trying to set up a server > stay nerd = lose

choise is yours
