Ive made a iPhone application :)

so ive made a iPhone application and it got accepted on the app store last week. Sales haven't been amazing. All these stories about overnight millionaires are fake I think.

anyways...just want to know what you think of it and if you can help me promote it.

PS. there is also a update in review but apple are taking their sweet time about releasing it.

that my friend is not a bad idea, however id imagine trickjumping would be a pain in the ass. UNLESS I introduce some sort of SMART system..oo wait thats a bad idea.

That would actually work. Seeing that there already are working Quake3 engine ports for the iPhone (or any other next-gen phone out there for that matter), just get right to it.

Also I wouldn't want an ETTV app cause I would just burn through all my data lol

ET probably uses less bandwidth than browsing popular sites with lots of images does, also wlans and fixed data plans.

The US has shitty mobile data plans, and I'm not ALWAYS around wireless, if I was I probably have a computer near by I can use instead of my phone. Though yes the bandwidth usage is probably less than many large sites. But you'd be connected to the ETTV stream for longer than you're on any site generally, at least for how I use my phone.

Ah, right. I can get a fixed data plan at 386kbps for ten euros a month, and a ~2MBps one for five more. Guess not everyone is that lucky :P

Don't want to be a pessimist, but the project is probably going to work all fine until you get to porting ETPro onto the platform. The anticheat is likely going to make it a pain to do (ie. you'd have to do a lot of hacking to make it work) unless you manage to beg bani to give you the mod source or a precompiled version without the AC.

They run ETPro, and ETPro has a built-in anticheat (which hasn't really blocked any cheats since 2006 though).

made bout 52 quid in first two days ever since then its been reli slow downloads. bout 3 a day.

ill take note of that and try implement it :D do have an issue with it tho, data is stored on the servers forever, so the friends list would have to be stored locally. Which then leaves a security risk :D ill work out something tho :) good idea.
