WIN7 & Logitech G5

new PC, just installed WIN7, what do i need?

is this one up-to-date?

i thought wtf? isn´t there a easy way?!?

what else should i use for playing ET? I didnt install setpoint and i won´t!

follow the steps closely. worked for me

Updated version of install due MS updates and file extension problem.
01. Download Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider
02. Download hidusbf.zip and Extract HIDUSBF to that folder.
03. Run Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider(DSEO) and choose Enable Test
Mode.
04. Reboot
05. Run DSEO Sign the Hidusbf.INF before you install it. Maybe necessary to do
this with all versions of the Hidusb.sys in the patch.
06. Right click on HIDUSBF.inf and choose Install.(INF file extension must be
windows default. This is a common problem easy fix with reg file.)
07. Run Setup.exe from HIDUSBF’s folder, check the Filter on Device box and
select your desired sample rate click install service wait then click
restart.
08. Run mouserater and check polling rate.
09. Run DSEO, choose Sign a System file and insert full path to the installed
HIDUSBF.sys file (For example: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\HIDUSBF.sys).
10. Restart your computer and enjoy.
11. If you would like to remove the test mode watermark, run Driver Signature
Enforcement Overrider and choose Watermark remover

Now my turn:

- Install Setpoint for G5 at Windows 7
- Open setpoint and select 1000hz
- Apply.

i found several threads & journals saying setpoint is crap. i never installed it for years

Using g500 atm, installed setpoints and chose 1000hz and it works like a charm

G500 is completely horrible. Worst choice i ever did. I got 2 of them (Logitech sent me one). It's a unbalanced mouse, too heavy at front, the laser is not even in the middle, it's a bit too big comparing to g5 or mx518. Sucks sucks sucks. Gonna sell my 2 G500 and buy a G400 hopefully :X

i love it, got big hands! a bit annoying tho is when you do small fast movements the weight thingy inside move around a bit and the mouse cursor looks a bit shaky. But hey, reloads aim is shaky like hell and i don't really Finland mind it. g500 > mx518 , g400 imo :)

how do you get rid of the test mode watermark?

I tried the "choose watermark remover", that didn't work and I also did smth from that website..

I used it on my ime 3.0 and i had 500hz with no problem. i didnt remove the watermark, so i wouldnt know :)
