iphone 3gs free? oO could use it as usb stick for my car !
Then iPhone 4 came.. and jobs was like "we invented a new phone cause it can do video calls !"... ye I had 3 phones 8 years ago and all of them were able to do phone calls.. and guess what.. they also could do it without wifi :P On android I can pretty much do everything with my phone. I can change the launcher and let the whole phone look different, I can remove stock apps that I'm never going to need. Custom ROM's are something great as well. You get faster updates, better fixes and overall the custom ROM will optimize the whole OS even more. Multitasking is easier with my phone. Working/Browsing is easier with my phone (HTC Desire HD, Android).. both compared to the IP4. But this could also be due to the 4 touch-sensitive buttons I have (instead of just one normal button on the IP4). For me Android also wins when it comes to apps. There have been so many weird cases with apple (removing apps from the store, 2 weeks later apple releases exactly the same app and earns money with it) and there are so many nice apps that apple won't allow. On Android everything is possible :P
also, no "theres one more thing" :(
Apple's shares went down 4% after iPhone 4S release. Too lazy to translate so this is what google has to say.
After using Android for 4 months, I found that it's absolutely dreadful. The amount of apps that break down, the bettery drain the ecosystem has and the general 'feel'. Also, Android's voice system on the GS2 sucks balls, and since I'll be driving alot of the time during the next year, the text and email system will be great for me.
Sold my GS2 for £380, easy bash.
About the sound system: No idea. Never tried the one on the iOS and never tried it on Android. But I think there are different ones for Android?
I've tested several mods who say it increases battery life, but i'm lucky to get 5/6 hours out of it, considering what i do. Looking at my battery usage, between 30% and 60% is from the OS, it actually tells me that Android OS uses that amount of battery.
The heat issue is the biggest factor. I run any app, be it downloaded or stock and it get s hot, real quick. So much so, I left angry birds running on it for 20 mins and I managed to cook a small piece of egg on the back!
Had the iPhone 3g (for ~2 years) and the IP4 (for 1 months or so.. and now my dad has it since its release). So I think I also know the iOS pretty good.. and Android (especially with HTC Sense) wins everywhere for me :S
When driving to Italy with my father (we both had the 3g) it took us both devices to have the navigator on for the whole trip to italy (so one 3g was good enough for 50% of the way to italy). The IP4 did ~80% of the trip and we then had to re-charge it in the car. My DHD did the whole trip and had 16% battery left. At 15% Android will start to reduce the battery drain by stopping syncing, decreasing brightness, etc... so the last 16% of the battery would still have lasted for a long time.
@edit: okay their prices were with contract.. so they are still fucking overpriced.
