I got my PureTrak Talent from ebay for 30$ (including shipping), so get it from there as its much cheaper than in your shop (well, I didnt have any choice tho, there is no shop selling these in sk :P ).
dont know if they still make them but i used to have a g5(before that mx518 and now a deathadder) and i used to love that mouse. super smooth with the teflon feet but if you have really low sens you might experience negative acceleration. If you don't have super low sens its a great mouse though. My dad used a g9 for a while and he loved that mouse although it was too small for my hand.
This might be wrong but I think that the steelseries mice are basically microsoft mice at a higher price(i think someone had told me this at one point)
Microsoft intellimouse is also supposed to be great(tons of people i know wont use anything else) and its fairly cheap
