Film Soundtrack

Little hiho from randomland ;d

I am currently shooting a short film and I need some decent ideas for music soundtrack.

I am going for a gritty kind of music to contrast with a calm, posed cinematography.

What I d like is something like nine inch nails, trent reznor, atticus ross, david lynch (music) kind of music, so gritty, industrial, electronic, experimental, ambiance, abstract (I had in mind mostly guitar, bass, piano). No dance music, not too much vocals!

The mood can be dark, sad, happy.

So if you know any good music, not yet used as soundtrack and not very known (so I don't need to pay $500 for the rights). The best would be someone from your hometown or someone totally unknown that posts his songs on internet or something.

If you are a good producer and want to compose/score my film. I am open to any proposition.

Sounds nice, he scores in a movie though. If you have specific unknown songs that would help!

Yeah this is the kind of artist I would approach to get the rights "easily", though the song might not work for my piece. thanks anyway

Take a look at the Vimeo Store. I take all my music from there for my short films!

It's either free (with a creative commons license) or a very small fee!!

for nine inch nails its sad that 'just like you imagined' is already used :(
if u need a song which is evolving in sound/instruments(volume maybe consider 'somewhat damaged' (unforantely i cant find a pure link to it, just live/cover ones :/ ). besides that 'the wretched' might be nice as well......

Very nice tracks =P They don't fit well though, too powerful on their own already. (Would you mind uploading the Trentemoller ones? :p I can't find them anywhere)

dunno why you cant find them.. album names are 'Into The Great Wide Yonder' and 'The Trentemøller Chronicles'.
