Monitor switch to 50Hz when I open ET

When I open ET, my graphics driver (Catalyst Control Center 12.8) automaticcaly puts my screenHz to 50. So I always have to manually reset it to 60Hz in my driver (the maximum my monitor can handle).
Is there some way to disable it from always going to 50Hz?

not gonna change any of these 2
what id try is remove the etpro and etmain config (and make sure there is no autoexec anywhere) then start et.exe
if its still wrong id change the r_mode in etmain to 8 vid_restart quit and try it again..
it has to be a bug somewhere just play with it because its odd to switch to low hz @ "low res" cuz ur desktop is way bigger :D
it was on 120, didn't think that it'd make a problem
