CGS.ET cancelled

Sad news arrived today from Krakow, as due to financial issues ET was removed from CGS Winter 2013. This comes as a shock, but organisers simply had to face the fact, that noone wants to sponsor ET. Our beloved game will be replaced by some other, more popular game.

There is small light of hope, as ET might return to CGS Summer 2013, however this is far from being confirmed and it all depends on ET activity.

I would like to thank everyone that attended previous edition and contributed to organising 2nd one, sadly it didn't work out.

Huh, why not just lower the prizepool?
Afaik there werent any european teams interested in cgs anyway and I guess for the polish people it wasnt all about the prizemoney.

I think that if it was that easy to solve, then it could be done. It's not my call, this came from the top, and they do all the maths.

competition has been going downhill for years but at least before summer 2012 there were clans. there's nothing now.

I wouldn't say there were clans before the summer of 2012. Always having difficulties getting a game or then you end up playing against same clans most of the time. That's like a mini community what finnish aq2 scene used to have in 2005 :_<

i don't mean et was mega-alive before the summer, i just know that with atoon we were able to prac like 4 days per week with different opponents each day (all decent opponents and not mixes) whereas after summer the only teams praccing were bsturz, devilry and tag. :D

could be, idk, i think in atoon's first 2 weeks give or take we played vs tag, devastation, fin6, zeroe, pdeg, krp, mpg, queens, anexis, lost, team uk, devilry, jari, bF, sleeperz, ovr(mcon?), NBS, and many more of those random mixes and oc teams like myserious etc.

there were a few of the "more common" oppos in there but really we played against all of these teams during that bfb2 tournament and praccing was easy as fuck. after bfb2 (close to end of ec) and as adroits etmasters came the teams started going inactive, after summer 95% of those i mentioned quit. d:
