ET is 32bit
but it can run on systems with 64bit OS
why not?

and ET doesnt support SMP/dualcore
r_smp is "read only" @ 0

so i dunno if u can change it
yes its working for sure
no it wont
r_smp 0 is the command but thats read only.
you can play it @ 64-bit os but the cmd is useless !

btw ask sheep
r_smp does work. but u have to have two cpus installed on ur mainboard and not having two cores in one cpu.
what kind of motherboard supports that ?
Parent
it's used often in motherboard for sockets that are mostly used for server.

and I know there are some old Pentium 3 motherboards with 2 sockets.
Parent
so that setting is basically for servers?
Parent
well dual cpus are normally used for servers but u can also have them at home =)
Parent
explain, so normal dual cores wont work withi t?
Parent
no only motherboards that have two sockets with two separate cpus like often used in servers with for example xeon cpus are supported by r_smp
Parent
isn't it possible to simulate dual core as 2 different processors?
Parent
it might be possible but i have never heard of it and i dont think its a good idea to mess around with those kind of things.
Parent
well, everyone knows that ET works on 64 bit system, but the thing is can u get any advance of it being 64?
no, et runs on 64 bit os in a 32 bit shell. thus it is still running in 32 bit but os services and programs coded for 64 bit run in 64 bit. so et running on a 64 bit os doesnt benefit et.
Parent
r_smp doesn't work in ET.

The end.
sol has spoken , no more replies :)
Yes , it runs on my 64 bit.
it works here so yeah, it works...
