How to make good movie config

Start ET & etpro
open options and system
set video quality to high
set resolution you want to use and make sure your monitor can support at least 65hz on that resolution
open game options and adjust wallmark time, brass time (how long bullet shels remain on the floor) and blood flashing
open etpro and adjust hud

now you have a good movie config that works well on all stock maps and most custom maps. ofc you dont like how the config looks but thats what you have editing programs for, you cant create good looking clip by adjsuting config but by editing colors in vegas/ae/vdub (poor solution thou xD)

i use 4500 bitrate for 1152x720 resolution and it comes out quite good (pmme on irc if you wanna see the results :D)

basicly settings are same, only bitrate changes depending on framerate and resolution
i use 5500bitrate for 720p 30.3fps

hmm, the quality is quite good, I'll try getting the same with my settings and higher bitrate. its 45mb/min though ;k

its hdtv @ 30fps. I could use 5k instead of 5500, think it would save some 4-5mb on that, but i realy like to have hq x264 + LQ low resolution xvid version with ~28mb/min for filesize whiners :)

there is a lot more to a good config than just high quality @ menu

ofc there is but this is basic stuff and hopefully ppl will stick to mapoverbrightbits 2 if they use this (look @ lotix's movie or nonix's out of the way 2, 1st used 1 and 2nd used 3, both suck)

min 65hz is to make sure smokepuffs, coroans and arty dont get green. It happens on crts, dunno about lcds thou.
Edit: simple test, you've got the same monitor so i'm guessing you'll notice the problem - do r_mode 10 and r_displayrefreshrate 60 ingame and watch a demo, you'll see its smoehow green, then change displayrefreshrate to 65 and see how colors get normal again. 65 is lowest refreshrate you can use without getting that from my experience.

that might affect it, dont know since I havent tried it. but what im sure is that your colorbits affect that.

you need a good raw for editing, screenshots shouldnt be too bright or too dark, thats why this is a good config.
