MX518 with Razor drivers - Help?

to get your hardware id's:

right click my computer on your desktop and click properties
go to hardware tab and click device manager
then find your mouse in the list under human interface devices (probably it will be called HID-compliant device)
right click on your mouse and choose properties
then go to the details tab and select hardware id's from the pulldown menu
and there you have it

edit the VID and PID in this howto to the one matching your mx518

ihr müsst die anleitung 1:1 umsetzen. hab auch ein paar versuche gebraucht ^^

zuerst die logitech soft deinstallieren (=> start => einstellungen => systemsteuerung => software => logitech => entfernen)
UND neu booten

1) Install Razer drivers

disregard any errors about you not having a razer mouse

2) Edit razer.inf

go to c:\program files\razer\drivers
theres a file called razer.inf
right click it and open with notepad

3) Install razer drivers

Right mouse click 'My Computer' > properties
Hardware > Hardware Manager
My Computer>Mice>HID-compliant mouse

Right mouse click HID-compliant mouse > Edit Driver
I want to choose myself (2nd)
Dont look. I want to decide which driver to install
!!Select!! (dont double click!) HID-compliant mouse and choose !!browse!!.
fill in folowing path = c:\program files\razer\driver

select Razer USB mouse
proceed, you do have a razer mouse now :>


habbich so gemacht:
-START => Einstellungen => Systemsteuerung => System
=> Hardware => Gerätemanager
=> 'Mäuse und andere Zeigegeräte' => 'HID konforme Maus'
*rechtsklick* => 'Treiber aktualisieren'
=> 'Nein,diesmal nicht'
Weiter
=> 'Software von einer Liste oder bestimmten Quelle installieren'
Weiter
=> 'Nicht suchen, sondern den Treiber von einer Liste selbst wählen'
=> 'HID-konforme Maus' wählen (1 x klicken!)
=> NICHT 'Weiter' klicken, sondern 'Datenträger' wählen!
=> 'Durchsuchen' => Pfad zu den Razer treibern suchen bis 'Razer.inf' im Dateiauswahlfenster erscheint
=> Razer.inf auswählen => 'öffnen' => 'OK'
=> 'Razer USB Maus' wählen
Weiter
=> 'Installation fortsetzen'
(dauert nen Moment)
=> 'Fertig stellen'

so. Razer Config aufrufen, das wars.

und jetzt beginnt die eigentliche arbeit, das feintuning. von der registry würd ich die finger weglassen.

falls die maus trotzdem nicht erkannt wird, wirds vermutlich keine mx518 sein (anderere Hardware-ID), ist aber wurscht weil im orig. link ein paar Hardware ID's drin sind, eine wird schon passen. sonst im gerätemanager kucken wie die hardware-id der maus heisst (eigenschaften).

Yeah i managed to do that but my mouseh just stopped working after i updated drivers to razer ones.
It was like win did not recognize mouse.

Well ill give it another try :D

btw there is razerlow.inf and not razer.inf
and the strings look way different where u have to add MX518 ID
