probs vlc player + Bsplayer

When i want to watch a movie with vlc player or Bsplayer , my pc reboots automaticly. so i can't watch it. when i try to open in with wmp or winamp i only hear sound. Does someone had this problem before or does someone know how solve it ?

uninstall ffdshow and install it again, and also make sure you are using only one codec pack otherwise 2 different codec packages can cause the problem

Hmm, try to install it then and uninstall other codecs.

Forgot to say, Try to use media player classic, cause vlc has its own compiled ffdshow package which can cause problems.

for vlc you don't need anykind of codecs [check ./plugis dir].
I think that reboot has to do smth hardware than software - so far i haven't seen pc rebooting becuse of codecs
