downloa... err, bought this today and I cant seem to find the option to make ctrl + z do only undo, not undo/redo. it was possible in ps7, so how can I do it in cs3?
because if you are used to it, it can save you a lot of time...
even for you, since it's a very quick way of observing minor changes, what would be impossible by simply using the action history (well, at least way less effective). For example. you give it a 10% color gradient map overlay, you wouldn't see the change by bare eye normally, exept for if you press ctrl+z very quickly a few times, which shows you every detail...
Undo is easily done with ctrl+alt+z, ctrl+z is an undo-redo 1 step switch. It's just a matter of getting used, but EVERYONE uses the normal way, so why don't you join EVERYONE, and learn the "new" way, which gives you much more advantages. ctrl+alt+z is the same as "your" ctrl+z.
like I explained, I use undo more. ctrl + z is quick and easy for it. I dont do undo redo one step things so often and whenever I do them, its not a problem for me to move my finger a bit to press y, simple as.
Like I said, it's just a matter of getting used to. ctrl+alt+z is just as fast as ctrl+z, + with ur "mousemovement" you can't see minor changes, so prolly u'r works are very low-detail/bad quali too than...
ps is one of the few things that is actually worth learning, mostly I just chat or play with the computer. editing and doing movies goes into same category with ps, in my case atleast. :p
I dont use redo tool a lot, and if I need to use it, I use it trough action history.

ctrl + z & ctrl + y
and yeah, thats what I do and when I do it, I do it like that. I use undo more often than redo so its logical that it saves time.
ignore undo/redo, just bind undo to alt z and redo to something like alt y
its nce to work with but you need time to learn it well
