How about "no fucking way, that's ridiculous so I will use Pidgin instead"
Which kind of sucks, because I was just starting to like WLM (mess tweaked ofcourse)

np.
edit: It does work fine. I just changed all the references to 7.5.* to the new version number and there is no problem.
and how can I trust 8.5!? Maybe I want to go all uTorrent conspiracy on it!
it takes more mem, makes ur pc slower
made a post about it yesterday... IT SUCKS
1) Quit your MSN
2) Right-click the MSN Messenger program icon and choose "Properties" (from your Programs Files/MSN Messenger folder)
3) Click the "Compatibility" tab
4) Check option "Run this program in compatibility mode for..." and choose "Windows 2000" in the pop-up below.
There you go, it'll allow you to sign and and continue using it! Only catch is the icon in the system tray is a little funky looking since it's dithered colors, but otherwise it works just like it did before.
I still use MSN Messenger 7.5 and it was forcing me to update it, but not any more now ;)
