Would a complete movie tutorial be helpful to you?

This week I've spend a couple of days looking for a good method to capture/encode demo footage and I think I did a pretty good job.
One of the things I did notice was that there are tutorials on xvid or x264 encoding and on how to capture .TGA files etc but never one from A to Z.I think that no tutorial can be very effective if the person reading it doesn't use the exact same settings (from capturing untill the encoding) like the person who made it.
So here's my question to you peeps...
Would you be interested in a tutorial that explains a method to capture/convert to avi/filter/encode(x264) footage and also looks great?
