what is the difference between
mantis CONTROL
and
mantis SPEED
and what is the best for Razer DeathAdder?

Speed is for high sens (fast reaction) users and control is for low sens users.

Speed mousemat = smoot
Control mousemat = with ribbles, it sucks.

I had the Speed Mantis too, but the Corepad XXL is nicer it's almost the size of my desk.

speed is smoother, control is kinda rough surface but gives u more precision
