Need software help

I'm like editting my parkour clips and im using sony vegas 7 but i want to have others also like i have no idea how to put written over a clip so it's still showing the clip with the writting there.

Can you help me how using vegas or tell me a diff software to use? :p

no but im making a tiny one which is like 45secs long to like a minute of us doing parkour :P
