Transparant text ?

How to make a text appear on a video file ? eg : The end of A Belgian Day

I tried transparant text in vegas but i can only see the text on a blue or other color background ...

I cant see the actual video file

And im not going to edit every single screenshot ...

I have been using vegas since 2 weeks now so to me this isnt a stupid question :)

you just gotta put that text event on another line. above or below the place you want the text to be in. And if you want to fade it away, just use the fade control.

I have done that but it doesnt work :X

Do you need a specific background color or something ?

no you dont need a specific backround. just let it be default color. and make sure you havent put the textevent on a sound line...

You need different Tracks for that. Usually you have 1 video and 1 audio Track (very simple case). It's the video Track we need.
Add another Track with your text. On both the video aswell as the text Track options you should see a little icon named "Compositing mode" (looks like a green filmroll and a Greek alpha sign @ default).
Click the icon and select "Add" for both. That should make your text appear on top of your video. You can play around with those Compositing modes to get exactly what you want I guess =)

I already found what was wrong , it has to be a video track above your main one...
