Suppose I could maybe get an audio player now and upgrade later

you know there are some ppl who dont really want to overclock their hardver
my brother bought a very cheap asrock motherboard and he still can use his 3400+ around 4200+, he just changed the fsb easily.
Btw your hardware is pretty expensive.
rest is fine...and about gpus, AMD has bestbuy graphics atm, HD3850 is a bestbuy, but i wouldnt change it for that one either.
Also, I'm a linux user, me using ati would be like trying to make a car run on shampoo
