Download programs!!!!

ive been using LimeWire for quite a long time now, but imo its not downloading fast enough

so i was wondering what program are you guys using (that is free) to download songs 'n stuff :)

edit: now i got torrent and my download wont start :<

You can search for an album en click on wich song from that album and he will download the torrent with the single song you selected.

i cant believe you guys dont know about DC++ if properly used (logged into all the right hubs and registrated and enough sharesize slots etc and active user ) you can find all the best shit and also underground shit .. so open your eyes and go for dc++.. i know all the other methods described above and this is really the best option.. altough torrentz.com i also do...

it is very easy once you understand it just look up on dcc+ faq on google and if you want find good hubs go to http://www.dchublist.com/ or some other site .. in there for example you type psy (if you looking for psytrancE) or house or dance whatver. and then you get the hubadresses and copy them and in your favourite hubs add them .. then just put a cross next to the newly saved hub (this will autoconnect to it each time you open dc++) and then check if you have to register there (ussually you do) sometimes its as easy as typing in +regme 1234 (means you reg with password 1234) then you have to go to favourites and add your password at that hub information.. so each time you open dc++ it will autoconnect to that hub with tha password and username that you typed there.. now you can search on these hubs and if you founf the right hubs and registered and also your active connection works (you can be active or passive) active is better coz not all hubs allow downloads when passive or dont allow as much .. go boy go

if your behind proxy or firewall sometimes yout shit aint working so fix it ... read it up in dc++ faq

dc++ was great for a while. Though theres too many people opening a stupid amount of slots their upstream cant support properly just to get on more hubs though, unless you get into a really good private hub.

Pay a few £ for a quality usenet server, tis where the releases on torrents originally come from, maxes out your connection and there's no uploading.

Sure, its in usd but whatever you use to pay converts it (paypal/worldpay/whatever). Server farm is in Amsterdam so it will always max out your connection, does mine at 2.4 meg. Can link you up if you want it.

so what? if you r at the good hubs you can get sometimes daily releases like in goa trance hubs... and if you get filelist of people who have 10mbit behind their name for example of which tehre are a lot.. then from them you can sometimes download a few megabytes a second even ...so go boy

If if works fine for you then good for you. I used dc++ for about a year and a half and it was very usable, just not as good as usenet.

I'm willing to pay 12p a gb if it means it will always max out my connection, I don't have to upload to others, queue for file lists and hope I can find a user with a decent connection whos not uploading to too many people.

yeh but dc++ speeds r amazing and u can find rare stuff.. and sometimes if you unlucky you get a shit speed for something which not many users online have so then you just say aight,.. but yeah i aint paying for no usenet ssince i can easily get what i want this way...
