Tomshardware VGA Charts 2007
atleast thats how it works best with the s1
so I need to save 1000$ more
8800GTX 768MB GDDRIII, HDTV, 2xDVI, PCI-E
Price: $1066
MSI 8800GTX 768MB PCI-E
Price: $641
I'd say forget the GTX and get a GT. You can find GTs in every store, GTXs might be hard to come by.
8600GT 256MB GDDR3, HDTV, 2xDVI, PCI-E
Price: $180
8600GT 256MB GDDR3, Silent-Pipe II, HDTV, 2xDVI, PCI-E
Price: $175
or I should find one with 512MB
just look chart above to see what will you gain for 180$

just get this OR the 8800gt if you want more
if you dont want to spend the money that the 8800gt costs, the next option is the HD3850.
8600 is midrange (lower budget, lower performance. same with 6600 or 7600 eg.), 8800 highend (higher budget, higher performance). that's the way it is with nvidia graphic cards. if you want something for your money I'd suggest the 8800gts g92 512mb. ~$300 or a 8800gt.
8600GT = 7600GT with dx10 (wont run any dx10 games anyway cause it sucks)
Just post "LOL, 1st, die of aids" or something, but don't suggest things you have no idea about.
crab ;)

hd3850 for sure. 256mb 8800GT is pointless
Or 8600GT 512MB GDDRII, HDTV, DVI, PCI-E - 540 NIS - its Point Of View chipset (unknow), but 512MB
U wont find anything better here ...
why suggest something shitty like that? just get the HD3850, costs as much as the 8600GT but is like 2x better
Well obviously, since "ATI sux" for some mysterious reason he should buy the exact card and waste 180$ for NOTHING. 8600GT = 7600GT with dx10. But you can't use dx10 cause the 8600GT doesn't have enough raw performance to run dx10 games. It's just marketing.
doesnt look like much but it really is. besides ATI totally dies under AA, which is kinda essential since ur buying a highend card..
the diffrence is definately not 40£/50£, i guess the shop you're looking at is kinda fucked then.. shouldnt be that much.
180 Euros = 264.85200 U.S. dollars

182€, bestbuy imo
RAM doesn't make the card faster, ram needs to be in sync with the cards GPU power. If there's too little ram, it bottlenecks. Too many is pointless. 512mb is just right for 8800GT. Just read some reviews.
I got there in like 40 minutes and they said that they dont have it and they will in 2-3months. ;<
so I bought this fucktard 7600gt.
Got my XFX version for under 200e.
