iTunes always opens when I connect my iPod, so it even synchronise everything itself

but did you install some software first or? Because when I open my Ipod it looks like my pc can't see him :/

well the first time I connected my iPod some screen popped up, which was something in iTunes, to confirm that everything was fine.

Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes.

Ow normally some windows screen should pop up as well, like hm 'New hardware found' blabla but normally your computer will recognise the iPod on it's own w/o the need of installing anything

Im not sure I didnt get a warranty with mine because it was refurbished was half price tho so I didn't care. There's a place in town where you can get them fixed! My mate fixes them aswell he said there pretty easy to fix to

en als je dan op synchroniseren drukt, dan doet ie niets?

i have also once downloaded a update, and since then i can't change music from my ipod
and the shopkeeper from the store also said, don't update the ipod, because that causes some problems

Get rid of iTunes completely, back up any music you need before hand.

Now go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and download and install iTunes.

Once you have installed it, check for any updates by clicking on the help menu. If there are no updates, do a fresh reboot.

Open itunes again and go to edit > preferences and go to the syncing tab. Make sure that ipod syncing is not disabled.

Now add all of your music to iTunes (which may take a while depending on how much you have). Once your music is added, keep itunes open and plug in your ipod into your PC.

IGNORE the windows prompts to install software for the device, just cancel the prompts from windows.

Now, if your ipod is still not showing up in iTunes you're fucked! :)

Send it back and get a new one.

just done what you said but it looks like itunes still can't find my iPod. (I don't know if it matters but when I redownloaded and reinstalled itunes my music was already in itunes when I opened it for the first time. And on my iPod I can read the following : "Connected, eject before disconnecting.")

With your ipod still plugged in, go to the bottom right in the windows task bar and double click the box with the green arrow.

It should have a USB device listed as your ipod. Select stop and your ipod should be disconnected. Now plug it back in and see what happens.

well when I connected my iPod to my PC he asked me to install some stuff, so I did that but during the download he said "if u continue this download hardware could get damaged so you'd better cancel it blabla ..) so i cancelled it. But yesturday I was so desperate that I clicked yes continue and it worked ;p

deinstall drivers and reinstall... somewhere in your device manager in windows. seems like your drivers are failing so a reinstall is the best. Also try to find the drivers on the apple iPod website and install them, Windows sux with their new hardware wizard.. most hw isnt supported or will not get installed properly.
If your iPod software is fucked there is no way to fix it if you cant access the iPod.

So then just open window and toss iPod like I said before. xD

Yea Id say you need to remove the ipod itself from windows first, then plug it back into a different USB port so windows doesn't reckonise it, then see what happens when you plug it back in.

You have to put your music in itunes (do some playlist) after put to "syncronise" if itunes doesn't see your popod just restart it.

How can I "syncronise" ?
