Movie srt subs on television? (s-video)

When I watch a movie with Bsplayer, I can see the subtitles when I put the video file and the srt file in the same folder...

But when I connect my pc with my television ( S-video)
I can't see my subs on the television
Is there a fix for this?

You could make permanent subtitles with VirtualDub for example.

edit: hmm..the link seems to be dead :o just google for permanent subtitles then..

Well not too much.. Just convert the subs to a different form, which can be identified by virtualdub, then you can just dub them to the video with virtualdub..

they you need to be lucky that you don't have to change the speed of the subs during the movie i guess?
