What do you use?
colours need a bit of work
doesnt look like effort really went into it... can be achieved by any nobrainer who reads a few guides, work on a movie and not testclips, dont think quality comes from your capture settings, it comes from post processing, how you adapt, the colour/chroma settings you use
you should just select 5 random frags, don't even have to be amazing, lasting perhaps 2mins in total, have an intro, outro etc and then extend it out. after capturing 5 clips and realising you messed something up and having to recapture them all is not a big deal - however miss capturing an entire movie (which, I have done before.. :<) and then having to recapture because of something minor is far less fun and can destroy the chances of projects actually happening..
this 2min file also gives you something to draw on, motivation is key in the early stages of making a movie and having an idea of what you are aiming at readily available for you to watch at any time should make you work for longer.
but, in the end, this is all down to personal opinion - and as long as you finish a movie it doesnt really matter too much which choice you make.
