And his dick is longer then his own body!
"If [iTunes] was forced to absorb any increase in the ... royalty rate, the result would be to significantly increase the likelihood of the store operating at a financial loss - which is no alternative at all," iTunes vice president Eddy Cue wrote
What the heck? They pay 9c per song and resell it at 79p (aka 140c), thus more than 15 times more expensive. A 6c increase would be NOTHING, customers won't even care. However, they don't look at it that way. It's a 66% increase, well, let's make the customers pay 66% more! That reminds me how much I hate corporations. Dunno why, but this made me feel that the market crash we're going through atm can actually be seen as a well deserved punishment to big companies (I'm sorry however for the individual people that got caught in it)
that's not true at all, they have to pay a load of tax and other fee's on top of that too, they then also have to pay for their servers, and employee's
That would explain (a part of) the 79p original cost. It still doesn't explain all the fuss about 3 extra pence per song. If they have to pay 3 extra pence per song, how much will you bet the 79p cost will go up with? I bet it will be much more than 3 !
And one more thing... employees, yes, and don't forget the lawyers... I bet lots of millions of dollars fund the pockets of their lawyers...
