Sony vegas question

Hi folks

Could someone tell if it is possible to put some "grey effects" in a video ?
Because im working on a movie atm and i want to start with some grey scenes and they shall become more and more colorful. And at the end of the movie it shall be normal (like 20-30 mins later)

Because it's the first thing you learn about Vegas. You would be able to solve this problem in about 5 different ways that all don't need more than fundamental knowledge about the program itself.
