timer at sony vegas ?

hey crossfire

im working on a schoolproject where we're making a new movie. There is a scene where a guy is doing every day exactly the same and i wanted to add a "special effect" - a timer on the buttom.

I wanted to show that he stands up at 6 oclock and while he is wokring on his computer the time passes and passes ...i wanted to use the timer there ....so while we filmed the guy on his computer the time moves from 7 to 8 to 9 ....to 18

ive found an effect on sony vegas where i can use a timer but that doesnt fit in here..it just shows the seconds or the frames :/

any ideas ? i thought about putting some text in and do it in that way ....but i hope there is an easier and faster way

sry for my really bad english

greetz razzi have a nice day

timescale is the wrong word to use, it just speeds up the video itself.

I'm guessing you want a timer overlaid onto the clip, Im pretty sure theres an option for one but I cant tell you right now! :(
ye thats what i meant..wait i edit it

No idea if this will work, but can u you use velocity on the timer layer and speed it up / slow it down.

Alternatively redo the footage with a clock on the wall and make the hands move that's always kinda nice.
rightclick -> envelopes -> velocity

but nevermind it wont work, as i forgot u wanted like a clock timer hh:mm:ss sort of timer
