This guy called "Jari Bär", some former corporate executive, got 112 000€ speeding ticket recently here in
FFS, can´t get the url to work. Copy it <---Finnish site, couldn´t find in english. But I sum it up.
He was driving 82km/h in a 60-zone. He got 12 "day fines" (1 day fine = 1 days salary according last tax collection). He had the monthly income of 560 000€, so that explains the big fine. He has complained about that, he says that it isn´t correct and his monthly salary was around 3000€ per month, those big moneys were just bonuses and stock incomes. Then the ticket would be only 540€.
Normally you get a 115€ fine for speeding, but if it is 20km/h or more over the limit, it changes to the "day fine"-system. So those 2km costed him quite a lot :)

Kinda stupid system, though it is same for everyone. Have you ever got tickets while driving? I got one parking ticket, but that´s it.

I got 2 tickets so far. One for driving a little to fast (was only like 20 €) and once a parking ticket for 5 € :P
In Germany they don't ask how much you make, the "penalty" is same for everyone. Both system have up- and downsides I guess. If someone is a millionaire 115 € won't bother him much I guess which would kinda allow him to drive faster than poor ppl :P
What sickeness me is that the penalty for driving drunk and killing someone is less than driving 22km/h overspeed.
and +1 about the driving drunk shit
Well not really, considering after a several warnings/tickets you're going to get points on your licence anyway.
You can drive 20 km/h too fast as long as u want, it's only gonna cost money but never give u points
so highpayed bitches would actually lose a bit of their money and lowpayed hardworkers wont have to pay 1 months salary to pay the bill
i never go to amsterdam by car anyways..
and then i think that when you have to pay that much.. same as in a parking lot btw. they should have at least ~2 guards walking around 24/7 to protect your car against crimes/from thieves
i hope i wont get too many speeding tickets when my new car arrives @ 23rd march :DDDD
people who try to get on the highway with 60 instead of 100 are much more dangerous than someone "speeding" 10+km/h on the highway
absolutely retarded:/
BURN THOSE MADAFAKAS ALIVE
..np4luxembourg
or come to icq at least
oh, wait, i'm going to sleep now anyways!
Also lost my card for a month
