accelfix.exe help

Hi accelfix.exe is not working for me when I say yes to disable it then its still enabled when I check it. Anyone got a solution? Thanksssss

Zoals rixxz zei 't is belangrijk dat je het in safe mode runt omdat sommige scanners het al virus zien en er een windows systeem is dat het standard ook als 'non-safe' ziet (is wel veilig hoor maar die shit denkt dat alles unsafe is xD)

1. Click Start button
2. Select Run
3. Type 'regedit' in the open textbox
4. Open the tree 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER', select control panel, then select mouse
5. Right clicking, modify the SmoothMouseXCurve and SmoothMouseYCurve hexidecimal values to the following:

accelfix.exe kinda sucks
it replaces your win32k.sys file which can give you random bsod's

rather use mousefix.reg

if you use it on sp3, yes. Only made my pc crash when moving the mouse so using safe mode you can easily go back to the old api.

Reboot into safe mode. This is done by pressing F5 or F8 BEFORE you enter the loading windows screen, or you could just boot your pc, turn off the power and boot again. As you didnt finish your startup the last time windows will automaticaly ask you to go into safe mode.

You could also use the registry fix stated by skyz but that only tries to fix the faulty win api, while the accelfix will prevent the fault from happening in the first place.

@zzaps: that diagram is one of the few correct diagrams about mouse performance on the internet :) Laser will allways be worse than optical / infrared sensors.

Well being even more discriminatory infrared is worse than optical. Every infrared mouse I have used has have a huge lift off compared to my optical diamondback which has <1 CD liftoff distance.

Start > Cotrol Panel > Mouse > Pointer Options > Untick 'Enhance pointer precision'
Then run accelfix again, this worked for meh.
