use in-game tutorial - you can lear some basics there
if you wanna know 'how to kill enemies' you can watch some youtube movies from dota / hon
the easiest heroes to play are: hammerstorm, swiftblade, then you can try glacius, pyro and arachna - imo the easiest heroes to play as
do not play heroes like: tempest, chronos, dark lady, zephyr and many more
if u wanna buy some items try 'recommended shop' - it mostly sucks, but it's good for a begginers.
try to play vs noobs, no EM (easy mode) there is a possibility of makin no-stats game, so I can give you some advices someday
Dying is bad. You don't win by getting kills, you win by pushing their base. If you/your team is dead, they will be pushing and you won't be able to defend or deter them. You should never engage alone unless you are very confident you will win the skirmish (AND be able to make it away before any backup arrives).
Unlike most FPS games where anyone with good aim + common sense can be low/med. HoN/DotA is much more about knowledge/experience, making the right judgement calls. As such, it takes a fair amount of games before you can be confident. The upside to all this, is that when you have the knowledge, you don't have to play very much to remain competant.
It can be rewarding comeptitively, but ultimately for most of the people I play with, it's how the style of the game brings about so much banter/outrageous actions. I probably wouldn't play HoN if I had to solo pub, playing with people I know on vent is what makes it fun.
had zero kills and i died against everyone :( dunno how to buy and how to use cba to watch tutorial

We will not be resetting stats during Open Beta but when we end Open Beta and go to retail all stats will be deleted from the game.
