Ultraviolet and Smireboule shows off!

Hey there!

Now that my exams are over, -Max- and I decided to lift all Ultraviolet secrets.
This time we do not have a new movie for you guys, but a lot other intresting stuff.
We decided to release all the fancy stuff, all the programs and even our beloved configs.
In addition, we can proudly announce the new Camtrace 3D Beta version.

What you get when you read on:

[*]Movie Mod for ETQW
[*]Limited Movie Mod for ETQW -> Promod
[*]Ultraviolet Movie Maker GOLD (with HDR and ETQW, ET, RTCW, COD, COD2, Quake3, Doom3, Quake4 support)
[*]Camtrace 3D 0.9 Beta
[*]Hannes ET config
[*]-Max- ET config (will get added later, -Max- was just too drunk after clubbing hard)

Update 1: -Max- cfg has been added.
Update 2: Movie Maker supports now Image, uninstall the old Movie Maker, download it again ( same link ) and install it! Choose image in the Dropdown List

Lets start with the Movie Mod. Hated and little loved in ET, we hope the ETQW Version will be more accepted!
We fully support Camtrace 3D, DOF (jitter) and many more options that will pimp up your movie.

Now whats next. The Movie Maker, and yes, with the bloom feature.

This software project is now about 1.5 years old and developed by Smireboule and Ultraviolet .
After the release of RGB by Wolfshorst we were very surprised about magarine's ET engine hacks.
So I got in touch with him and we tried to adopt this part into the Movie Maker. Original written in
c we totally rewrote the whole bloom stuff in c# and made it a postprocessing feature.

How to enable the Bloom Tab:
Start the Software once, then go to the software install directory/settings/options.ini
Open the file with your desired text editor. Add the following entry under the [Settings] category:
HDR=1

it should look like that now:

Talking of Smireboule I am very pleased to announce and release the new Beta version of Camtrace 3D.

It has been over one year since the last Camtrace 3D news, but we were busy in testing and implementing all
the new features, like:

[*]Reference timelines
[*]new Curve creation algo
[*]Better ct3d config creation
[*]new Config Dialogs
[*]ETQW Support (we fully support etqw, except the wireframe of the Map)

Not necessarily. You can always use reverse engineering to crack EtQW engine and unlock thoose limitations.

Im not, but i know that its possible to unlock this (eventhough it should be REALLY hard since they dont have the engine source... its almost impossible to unlock max 1000 fps and make it work at et) as far i know. Dont take me really serious since im not a coder...

no, im pretty sure you can't. ofc u can, but you would have to rewrite a lot of the code to make it work.

Yeah i know.. and after re-write all this shit.. im sure it wouldnt work properly.. its kinda hard to do this since there is lots of "pendent" stuff linking with max fps :S

wtf ? 1600*1024 but last valid renderer are "GeForce 6800/AGP/SSE2". It's impossible :o

Hdr seems not working for me (no preview + invalid hdr settings, soemtimes says bloom done. 1 error).

Any idea?

EDIT: Problem solved. Its all about the tga name. If we use image.exe the tga name will be like:0000000037.tga soo we need to rename ALL tga's to shot0037.tga to make it work with hannes tool

Well, my raw config doesn't look much like what you see in my movies. Definitely not mAx Chapter 3 anyway. Though I think I only added a little Saturation and Luminance in Decimated.

i hope so. i can see so many limitations when making cams at a fixed framerate. frame interpolation might help a bit, but its next to useless at such a low fps.

CT3D will load in vista sp1! there will be an error in the installation just press continue then. the program will work
