Today saw a new era of GamersNation.co.uk begin, with the launch of our new site, codenamed GN2.

QuoteAlthough still built on the secure DragonFly Content Management Engine, GamersNation 2 features some extensive custom programming "under the hood" which has been designed to both meet the needs of our members as they've indicated over the 2 years we've currently been in operation, and to allow us to increase the scope of the content we produce here, with several key modules now merged into a single central scaleable Content delivery system.

We have also spent time working on the graphical side of the site and "ease of use" of the site which has chnged significantly from the older website. There are many changes still happening on the website, such as a large overhaul of the competition module which should be completed in the nextfew weeks, just in time for the next GamersNation ET Cup!

Codenamed GN2 ... that's not really a codename, a codename would be GamersNation2 - "Furby" or sth :D

How To Remove That Annoying Adbar

1. Download Stylish

2. Restart FF

3. Click the Stylish icon in the bottom right of the statusbar, select Write Style -> Blank Style

As much as I find adverts annoying like yourself, websites like GN, and maybe even Crossfire in the future, put these adverts in place to provide prize money for competitions or events, or in the case of sponsors, products or services etc. So by effectively visitiing a websites sponsor or advetisement, you are supporting the community YOU visit every day and the competitions you enter....

... just remember that.

The left most banner is specific to "PC and console games at Amazon" which is the closest we could get to the correct content of advert. The right is general DVD and films and more a fill in for the time being tbh.
