Apple announced Thursday that its iTunes store has now sold more than 5 billion songs.
I was curious to know the behavior of the mainstream crossfire user. You ever bought a song on iTunes?
= 5,000,000,000 songs
= 2,727 days since opening on 10/01/01
= average 1,833,516 songs / day
= 0.99 € / song
= 1,815,180 € / day
= 86,400 seconds / day
= 21 € / sec
Nice one :)

You mean "keep it cheap" isn't it ;)

afaik, billion is more used as thousand millions than million millions (at least i think that is the case now with itunes), didn't know in english billion had two meanings until i checked wikipedia
Occasionally buy games if I want to play online, but other than that I'm Mr. Illegal.

i hope tosspot wont send logs of people who clicked to police
:D
I like to support the bands that I listen to - even more when they are distributing via an independent label.
tempting to buy to get good/same quality songs for movie use though.
For instance I just downloaded some Pain of Salvation stuff, and I'm definately going to buy some records ASAP! It owns!
There are some albums I like i haven't bought yet, but I'm planning to have a cd-buying-spree very soon :)
And I'm a sound quality geek, so I want the good music in a non-lossy-compressed format aswell
itunes though sucks as a program and does not offer the music I listen to.

just add &fmt=18 after your youtube link :) fmt=6 is even better i think
I've bought some songs through iTunes because it's very convenient, but not very smart. Previously you couldn't play your songs on anything else than Apple players (Quicktime, iPod, etc.), but now they're a bit more lenient – but still not good enough for me.
If I'm gonna pay for digital music downloads, then the files need to be of a *high quality*. FLAC, people – FLAC!
only bought two songs from www.beatport.com
Let's hope that the whole music industry will vanish. Artist don't need these big labels anymore and I'd rather give the artist some money instead of a label. They don't care for the music anyway.
would never buy music on zhe internetz
WTF r u joking
