Either way, i know that it is wrong for most websites, and there is different kind of ads, but in your example i would blame the website. Why? Well i don't mind to see some smart ads in a lower spot of the website or without so much focus. Of course this wouldn't work for "buy this blabla" ads because they are meant to show some product to the website visitor.
But as i said, i don't know how much a website can get from their ads and/or how much they pay according to ads position, but if the position is somehow irrelevant, i wouldn't mind opening website with few ads down at the website.
Sorry for my engrish
using this one? no idea then, i hardly use chrome.. Firefox <3
10GB = 150 dollars
there are ofc cheaper packets, but for backpacker not rly
not being supported? :|
most of them didnt even know it existed and still watched youtube ads...
Stop acting as if it is impossible to navigate a website when it has a few banners. I don't have an adblocker since ads don't really annoy me. It's just a box with a commercial in it. You need to work on your clicking accuracy :P
When it comes to commercials in videos, well they can be annoying. However, I don't mind having to sit through a 20-second commercial everyone now and then. I can just check another website for a while, put on the tea water or whatever.
I understand why you'd want to have an adblocker, but not having one isn't gonna destroy your internets.
And when the ads are on, the scrolling is way slower and "jumpy".
Then again, when I see a bouncing gif annoying me [blike this one I just saw at the top of this page[/b]], it makes me want to block ads.
I like supporting sites, but I don't want my eyes to be burned in acid and dragged for a mile under a truck dumping gravel.
I have bought shit loads due to other users recommendations on books, TV, gig & film threads however.
even if every registered user on this website used ad block crossfire would still survive, and hell if it couldn't support itself then some user would probably stand up to the plate and host it
even i have the resources to run this website (and i could do it more efficiently*) so i imagine many others do too
* why i said this: suggestions to improve efficiency (small example: having the "X replied to your message" link take you directly to the message instead of a useless "Click here to view it" page) have been rejected on the basis that they would reduce ad impressions

It makes me laugh when people who pirate music and games will try and take the moral high ground on supporting websites with ad revenue.
I'm already used to ignore commercials in my mind anyway ..
in my router i just put the key word "*ads*.*" "*pub*.*" and whatever site has those words just is not open
