As usual, we are bringing you the Top 10 teams of the month, based on actual games played, for April 2011 as part of ET Cast. Thankfully a lot of the more recognisable teams have come into activity - most of which are competing in this seasons Clanbase Eurocup competition and YCN Challenge.

The following teams are being considered for the top 10 positions for April 2011.

why didnt you take alienwarecup in consideration?

The Alienware challenge hasnt been taken into consideration as we beat queens therefore they would have had two lost matches. It mentions us winning the tournament in the description, but the games/rounds havent been added.

1 map matches have never been in the etcast top10 ;p

1map games are ever added as anyone can beat someone on a single map really, especially between the top teams.

they were in the top10 last time because ... they actually played games that month. It is based on games won and lost - if a 'Top team' doesn't play, then they cannot be ranked. pretty simple :)

if you watch football you probably seen 'manager of the month' 'player of the month' they arent the best player or manager necessarily but they performed the best that month - this is exactly the sort of thing Im aiming for, if you dont understand that then just dont click the future articles.

i dont call an "active" clan a "top" clan o;

i know what you mean about ur "manager" and stuff, but winning a lof of match in oc div1/2 cant be compared to ec or where "top clan" plays.

Im quite surprised that us being the only team not to have lost arent top of the list. I mean we won the only competition that all top 3 teams played in and we are the only team not to have lost a map during YCN Spring Challenge and Eurocup. Nonetheless its still great that these are being produced so keep up the good work. Would have been nice to go back to the Anexis management and show that there faith in us is worth it, 3rd doesnt seem all that good :-). Activity is overrated, you play your officials and get counted on your results! Grats to queens and all the other teams in top 10!

It's down to numerous things, activity is just another word for actually playing games - and that is not overrated at all. Queens beat Dignitas twice so rightly deserve #1 spot.

If Anexis would have played some higher ranked teams then they perhaps could have taken second, which was the only hard decision, it mainly went to Dignitas as they won two cups and came second in another - but first had to be queens considering who they played and beat.

we only played one map against you Ross, and we won the other cup and beat dignitas twice in it.

I can see the principle in why you are 1st having beat Dignitas in Frostbite cup, however you did lose to nordic in another cup and us (even though it was 1 map) in another. My point is that 100% win and winning the competition that all of the top 3 entered imo is better than winning a cup with just the top 2 in it and losing vs NE in another. You also dropped a lot of maps you shouldnt. Grats anyway!

we played against nordic a couple of days later and won 4:0 Ross, u know sometimes u get a bad game, its a good idea of how merlinator has done the rankings, shitty 1 map games arent in it, Just proper 2 map officials witch Queens has shown to be top on the month, its not Implying Anexis are a bad clan because you no how good you are, you just havnt had enough skilled games this season.

You shouldnt lose a bo3, however i can understand that teams have their bad days especially if you were playing another top team. My point still stands though, we beat all of the competition put in front of us for April and only dropped 1 map. We are the only team to have progressed in YCN and EC without dropping a map too.

Yea but have you played Dignitas twice? and won both this month? The Ranks cant just be Ranked on what TLR are doing best it take a look at every section, next month if uplay against Queens and win and dignitas and win you would be 1st place and dersevre it. Not just random games v Vital gaming etc. And we had a merc :|

My point isnt that you dont deserve it, I just think there are other ways of looking at it. You get judged on your victories/win percentage, if you have a 100% win percentage then why shouldnt you be number 1? I dont think the rankings are all about Anexis and in fact its nice to see another team than Dig or us number 1. I guess ppl will always rank others differently, hence why its maybe best to ask 1 person from each team and take into account victories/losses but i know myself that it takes a long time. Dont think that im trying to take anything away from u or queens razz, but some teams/orgs look upon this as a good reflection on where their team is at at the present. If anexis saw this without the explanation or didnt see that we had a 100% winning record, they could quite easily ask why we arent top 2 which is what we are required to be.

Its not important in the bigger picture, but its always nice to top something. I can always put my hand out and say another team deserves it more than us if thats the case, im just illustrating my point that this isnt necessarily the best way of looking/ranking teams. Its always something extra when searching/playing for an org too and i think it should be taken more serious than maybe it is.
