Some of you may know that the method for deciding who plays in the ClanBase EuroCup is based around 12 direct invite teams and then a selection of qualifiers.
Like the CB's Hall Of Fame shows us, the first few EuroCup editions used 2 groups of 8 teams each, (like in the
e-star/sae domination or in the 
u96d vs parodia epic battle for the final winning introducing the new winner/loser bracket play-off tournament layer) based on the old school skilled clans that always dominated the ET/RTCW scene.
Those editions of EC were plagued with dropouts, as teams unable to make the playoffs stopped playing actively and lost their motivation . Due to this last season CB changed the structure of the last EuroCup (XII) and tried to got a faster group stage, with 4 teams in each group, based on a larger number of qualifier teams (8). Invited clans were seeded putting two in each group with four qualified teams (like in the soccer world cup or champions league) and the result was, in my opinion, better than before.
Now my question is how will the next EC be?
Honestly, it’s unlikely we’ll see any OLD reliable EC monster skilled clans, as in ET history, but we could see a lot of skilled players that manage to play together actively in new hopefully none-2 week clans.
So in my opinion this EC should be done with 6 teams that are directly invited (because this 6 imo are the only reliable active clans that I see atm and were on previous EC so they are top clans) and other top clans that fight to spot an EC qualify.
Of course it will be followed by a group stage, (maybe 4 like last one or maybe 5) and with the winner/loser bracket playoff tournament layer.
I posted this cause i guess what the whole et community thinks about it... My list of 6 invited clans would be:
uQ.gaming
idle.ee
demiurge
Team Helix
team beta
VAE
almost all teams were on last ec and newest team is based on top players that ever played @ ec level (demi)

T34 deserved it, but imo the 6 upside are better, so they have to spot on qualify!
Anyway there are a lot of clans like 141 
underscore that are EC skilled but are just come back so, imo, have to fight for gain it.. and a lot of good stable teams like |:P| , 
artificial , 
6s & 
SKIT that are grow up and deserved their chance to play a qualifier match.
