Match week two begins!
The first match week went smoothly and now it's time for the second one! Four winner's bracket matches will be played on thursday and TosspoT will be casting one of the games again so be sure not to miss the action! As before, I've written previews about all the games along with Baggiez, who wrote the last one. Read the previews below!

Anexis had no trouble in their first game against Lost Soldiers and won it 4-0 in less than 30 minutes. There isn’t much to say about that game and as Squall already stated before the game it was just a warm up for them. Their true challenges should still be waiting further away as they can beat the majority of participating teams even with their B- or C-game.
disQonnect got a great start for the tournament against oxid as they walked away with a surprisingly easy 4-0 victory. The game was expected to be one of the most exciting match ups of first round, but it turned out to be really one-sided and dQ was showing a great form racking up a total of 49,9k dmg compared to their opponent’s 35,9k. They were on a 9 game lasting winning streak before recently losing to g2p in an EC game (4-0). One of the most motivated teams around.
In their current form dQ should be able to challenge almost pretty much any of the current teams – except for their opponent in this game. Anexis has such a strong combination of players that even if they haven’t been playing together for as long as their opponent has, they are the clear favorites to win the game. First map of the game will be missile_b3 and if Anexis hasn’t prepared for it well enough, there is a possibility that they’ll face troubles in that map. Let’s hope that it will be a more exciting game than what might be expected!
This game will be shoutcasted by TosspoT!
Players to watch:
sqzz from Anexis. Perfect combination of aim, movement, reviving skills… This guy has it all! He is one of the best medics currently playing the game and also has the ability to turn the games around into his team’s favor with stunning flag caps and doc runs.
Kevji from dQ. Might not be a very familiar player to someone who just got back to playing ET again, but in a short time Kevji has become a really effective rifle player. Along with his team mate boNg he has constantly been racking up a great deal of damage in all the latest games.

Mousecontrol is yet to play a game in the tournament as they got a forfeit win (no show) from their first game against Epic. They are also currently participating in the EuroCup, which they started by losing surprisingly against Team Limbo, but managed to win their group in the end after beating frogZ 3-1 in the last game. After their loss against Limbo they’ve made some player changes adding zMk into their ranks and have also been playing with filuS for a while now.
b2k provided us with the biggest surprise of the first round by beating k1ck 4-0 in a close match up. The Polish team hasn’t been letting their lack of known players get into their way and have been taking advantage of their role as the underdogs by beating a few notable teams already in official games. It will be interesting to see whether they’ll be able to continue that as they will still stay as the underdogs, at least for their next game.
Before the cup this match up might’ve seemed like a walk in the park for mCon, but with b2k’s latest performances they need to be taken seriously here. mCon will stay as the favorites, but a rather close game can be expected here. Once again I have to mention that missile should make all the games this round very interesting to watch as the amount of preparation put into it varies quite a lot within the teams. Will be interesting to see which team comes more prepared into the game and whether b2k can surprise us again or not.
Players to watch:
zMk from mCon. Arguably the best active rifle from Poland at the moment just recently started playing ET again. Has been in a top form in the latest games I’ve seen from him so his fellow countrymen better watch out for the accurate rifle grenades!
syriusZ from b2k. Perhaps the most known player of the team. Best known for his aiming abilities and b2k will need his headshots badly to win the game.

inteRaction are now known as Zero Empathy.
Queens started their journey in the tournament by winning Glitz with no trouble. Recently in EuroCup they just played two games against k1ck and turbot, dropping two rounds against the Estonians and one against the Finns. Their EC lineup differs a bit from their BfB one (in the latest games R0SS and sqzz played instead of Clown and miNd), but still they didn’t seem too impressive on the games.
Zero Empathy got an easy start against Aero as their opponent made a few crucial mistakes which allowed them to take the 4-0 with no trouble. They didn’t manage to grab a single win in the EC so they can fully focus on BfB now, which they’ll surely have to put into good use in their upcoming games!
This should not be the proper test for Queens yet as ZE stands as a huge underdog here. Clown already made a prediction in his statement that ZE will pick radar as the second map if they’ll manage to win the first one and also stated that they haven’t been playing missile and radar a lot lately. Can’t tell for sure whether this statement was written this way for tactical purposes or not, but if what Clown stated is true, it might get interesting after all.
Players to watch:
nuggan from Queens. Was chosen as the player to watch for their first game as well, but I couldn't really make another choice here! Has been an absolute beast lately getting tons of headshots most players can just dream of.
denton from ZE. Rifles often are very enjoyable to watch and denton makes no exception here. Has played in the team for a long time already and offers a solid performance from day to day.

TAG opened their Battle For Berlin competition against Turboapinat and won a closely fought game 4:2. g2p had a much easier task as they faced off against bSTURZ and strolled to a convincing 4:0 victory.
Being ranked second in the seedings, g2p will be the favourites for this game, but personally I can see it going either way. TAG have a deep history within Enemy Territory and to that end, they can draw upon heaps of experience for this game. Every one of their players is a seasoned veteran and they'll have to use all of their guile to overcome one of the tournament favourites. As for g2p, they'll be weary of the threat that their opponents pose, though with their consistent recent success I have no doubt that they'll be confident of a win here. In my opinion the game will come down to the performances of the Dutch duo of Lightning & aphesia and the German duo of kReSti & Bl4d3. All of the major damage comes from these individuals and it will be up to them to get the key frags for their respective teams.
The first map of this game will be Missile, which will be seen by many as a wildcard addition to the tournament. I doubt that either side has much practice on this map, which would lead me to believe that it will favour the G2P side who I believe boast better teamplay, while TAG will be relying more of their vast experience on the more popular maps, supply and swgr. With that said, TAG are the masters of spam and the many tight corridors and chokepoints of Missile might work out in their favour.
Players to watch:
Lightning from TAG. I had him as my player to watch in their last game against Turboapinat and he didn't disappoint, scoring several important multi-frags to win his side stage after stage. The combination of his rifle and aphesia's smg were integral to their side's success in the previous round and they'll both have to be on top form to progress.
kReSti from g2p. Topped the damage by some distance in the previous round. In my opinion he boats one of the best aims in Enemy Territory today and if you're looking for plenty of damage and headshots, he's my vote for player to watch.
btw nice post again twidi sorry I couldn't contribute this time.
saKen WINS!!!
