Since this "Interviews" -section here at crossfire ain't getting that much new items and this one is still on the top, I thought that maybe it's better just to update this one than make a new post every week. If you missed one of the previous parts, they all can still be found from cadred.org

As for third part of the Clan of the Week serie, I decided to pick a polish clan named Poland Fear Factory X-Fi. Clan has been playing Enemy Territory already for many years on the top level, but still they haven't gotten that much attention in the European community. That's why I thought it would be about time to take a bit deeper look into their ranks and find out some interesting information about them.

This time for an interview to get more information about Fear Factory X-Fi I caught up with one of their players, Poland Wrobel, who had a lot to say!

Quote by First three (3) questions of the interviewHello Wrobel! Your team has been around for quite a long time already, but not everyone knows your story. Could you tell us a bit about your history?

Poland Warriors of Wolfenstein was founded on August 2003. In July 2006 WoW won OpenCup and after holidays we joined Poland Fear Factory X-Fi and made a strong lineup for Poland Poznan Game Arena 2006 to start playing more seriously. New lineup consisted of: Poland krisek, Poland r1co, Poland S4rna, Poland Wrobel and Poland wiesiek. FF qualified for PGA where we were able to beat strong EU teams like Europe cdap - pi (now known as Europe polar eSports) and Sweden zeroPoint! Gaming. On the finals it went to an exciting knife round against Poland NETR, which we won and were the winners of PGA 2006. After the tournament we got a direct invite for the next EuroCup. We didn't have a 6th player so we had to recruit Poland z3R0 and the tournament didn't go that well as we didn't even reach the playoffs. After that we had to replace some players and so we kicked z3R0 and recruited Poland Smieszek from Poland Polewka and Poland nrs. Our games with the new lineup went pretty well and next we went to Netherlands Crossfire Prizefight Challenge #2 where we again after very good game vs Germany Vicious and Evil didn't make it to the playoffs. Since nrs didn't have enough time for gaming anymore, we decided to grab Poland JC for EC. On our first game we put up a good performance vs zP, but lost it. Just one hour before the next game vs United Kingdom AuxiliA my cpu crashed and I had to play it with 20-25fps, but we still won that game 4-0 and now we just have to win the last match vs Italy retroactive to get into playoffs.

You were also competing at the Crossfire Prizefight Challenge #2 in Enschede, Holland last month, but unluckily were left just outside the playoffs even though you had the same points as Germany Vicious and Evil who advanced to playoffs as 2nd from your group. How dissapointed were you after that and what kind of feelings did that tournament leave to you as overall?

When we saw our group in cpc2 (Europe mQ, Germany vae and Europe TLR) my first thoughts were like "OMFG, hardest group ever". But FF was really motivated for the Crossfire Prizefight Challenge #2 in Enschede and so we were able to pull of a straight 4-0 victory over mQ and after a close game we lost againts TLR. Then we had our last group game left vs vae, which was amazing. After the first map where vae owned us we showed some very nice skills and teamplay on goldrush, which we won. For decider we had to wait for 3 hours... and we lost the decider on our worst map (supply), but I think that we were still very happy. We did our best and showed some Polish lagging skills in Enschede =). For me this tournament was awesome as I met friends from all over Europe and we smoked and drank a lot :) Why don't we have more LAN tournaments? :(

Last season on EuroCup XIV you closely didn't make it to the playoffs either after losing to Finland #murso in the tiebreaker series, but this season you already got a lot closer to the playoffs after winning your important game against United Kingdom AuxiliA. Have you been happy with your performance so far and do you believe that you'll make it to the playoffs this time?

Before the game vs zP we pracced a lot and so when we lost it after a very close game (they won frostbite only with 7 seconds difference), we were quite dissapointed and didn't have that much motivation for practicing. But when I saw our team's great performance on the game vs AuX I was suprised. Now we got some free time as JC is in United Kingdom London and Smieszek in Croatia Croatia for holidays. We didn't play the new map karsiah yet but I believe that we can win the game vs retro and pass the groupstages.
