Phobeus, the powerhouse of Team-Hungary, he is a guy who played at CPC2, two Polish lans and two Hungarian lans… He is one of the best Enemy Territory players ever. His experience, his attitude towards other people makes him the guy that cannot be disliked… Let’s see who he is and what he thinks about ‘almost everything’…

Tell us something about you, introduce yourself.

I’m Zsolt ‘phobeus’ Kesztler. I’m from hungary. I’ve been playing Enemy Territory for four years but since I got a new pc I started playing Call of Duty 4 (~like three weeks ago).

What was your first online game? Tell us something about it.

Well it’s funny a bit. Me and my classmate downloaded a game called Delta Force Black Hawk Down. We just played each other and played on some servers. It was a big fun. Then my brother downloaded ET and I was like ‘what a shit game, I will never try it’… As you can see I tried (when my brother wasn’t at home)… :)

What about your first steps in Enemy Territory? Your first teams and people you have played with?

My first team was MIX (Military Intelligence X) lowskilled clan of course. I made it with other lowskillers like me. We all (me, vektor and zetor) played for a week together. After that I went to a little more serious clan sD (self Destructors), someone from sD asked me to join and play with them because I owned a Hungarian public. I joined, we played some six on six wars but it wasn’t that good… After two months we folded. Then I had many good or bad teams… infinity-skills, cave-coh, inactive, underscore, T4Ce… After underscore had folded I started playing with guys from other countries, I played for #retral, #remedium, gods.inc, polar-pi, authentic. And some mixes like stronger than hate, dickheads and paparazzi.

What was your first lan? How do you remind it? Where was it?

Well, my first lan was in Poland, it was called PGA. That lan was really great, good organization, nice pcs and cool people. It was a five on five lan. I went there with cdap-pi (me, snoop, kris, nrs and logic).

Next lan… CPC? What about that?

Honestly I think PGA was better than CPC2. I don’t know many things about other crossfire lans, but PGA was awesome. CPC wasn’t that good. I mean the lan thing (we had to wait 5-6 sometimes 8 hours before our game and we had just 10 mins to configurate mouse, keyboard + ET config), the rest was cool. The party we had with polar guys and the other guys from the summerhouse place… It was nice to meet people who live far away from me, to smoke dutch weed with xylos and drink a beer with my mate Lepari… :) Also was nice to meet nrs in Holland after the PGA lan.

What was your next lan? Again same stuff…

The next lan I went to was GGT2008, the funnies one. I had never seen that hospitality before in Poland. I really don’t know why those crossfire people hate polish players, I don’t understand them. They are friendly and I could say many other good words about them. But why should I? They are nice that’s all. And no one can change my opinion.

What about pcs at GGT?

PCs really weren’t that good… They were even worse than my old pc. Like 30-50fps on all the maps (sometimes it was even worse). So no one could bring that skill like at home. That lan in my opinion was easy for guys playing rifle, fops and other spamming classes… It was like impossible to aim with your smg.

How were polish players playing?

Well, I think all of the top three teams were good enough and skilled enough for EC and other cups. They had a nice teamplay and good tactics. Of course there were many good players like fixxer but their team weren’t good enough.

Continuing with polish stuff… Do you like polish beer? Did you enjoy drinking it?

Yes, I like polish beer and it was nice to drink it in Poland… The best one is zywiec.

What about polish vodka?

I don’t like vodka at all because when I was around 14 I went to a party with my classmates, I bought 0.7l of vodka called ‘kalinka’ and 0.7l of ‘garonne cherry’. That was my first drinking party and I didn’t know how much I needed to be drunk. I drank all of the vodka and cherry… You can think what happened… Wasn’t that good after that party... Since that day I don’t like vodka and cherry.

Now a little thing about your polish team, authentic. How did you call zMk (zioMek)?

I called him ‘Zsömle’ which means roll (stuff like bread).

I heard you wanted to buy food in Poland by yourself, what and how did you order it?

I wanted to eat kebab and dialer told me what I needed to say (‘poprosze kebab z ostrym sosem’) and before that all of polish guys told me that if someone asks me anything just answer it by ‘dobrze’ (ok, good, alright)… And I did! :D The girl who gave me my kebab asked me something I didn’t know what she said… Dialer told me later that there is no meat or something like that and I just said… ‘Dobrze’.

Zsolti, do you know that polish people like you very much?

Well, I saw it in Poland and I’m proud of it, but to be honest I don’t know why they like me.

Going back to the lans thing. Were there any in Hungary? Did you attend them?

There were two Hungarian lans and we won both with underscore. Lans weren’t that serious, no prizes and stuff, but we beat all the Hungarian teams.

Let’s talk a bit about Team-Hungary, what about your group and your chances in NationsCup?

I think it’s not the hardest group what we have so far. The Hungarian scene always thinks that we are the ones and only who can win it and we HAVE to prove it.... We have to go through, if not there will be big a whine at Hungarian ET website.

What is your favourite moment in ET?

Maybe it will be a bit weird, but when we lost against netrunners at PGA… That was the greatest match I have ever played.

Why are you playing COD4? Is it a better game than ET?

Well, you know I had a really bad pc and I couldn’t play any other/better games except ET and Q3 (I meant the latest games by saying ‘better’). Now I got my new pc, I really want to try other games and I like COD4. My friend – Future – is also playing it and I like to play with him. I started to play about three weeks ago so I’m not that good at it yet. But I’m just gonna be better and better. It’s an easier game than ET in my opinion.

What is your favourite moment in COD4?

When I was a sniper in 1v4 and I won the round with three headshots and one desert.

What other games do you play?

I play Quake 3 and Warsow, but for fun only.

Do you like World of Warcraft?

I don’t like mmorpg’s except Diablo (I haven’t been playing WoW), so I’m waiting for Diablo 3.

What are you interested in (girls, sports etc.)? What do you like to do?

I like to play football, I’m a big fan of Formula 1… I’m the guy who likes one day, one week relationships with girls because I don’t want anything serious from them YET. I haven’t found the best one… Maybe that’s why… :) I also like going to the cinema because it’s free for me (that’s the only good thing of my work in the cinema).

How should your perfect girl look like then?

Nice question, but I don’t know the answer… I really don’t know… It will just come, like in movies :)

What is your favourite movie (in real and in internet games)? What was the best movie you have seen last time?

Well, in ET I enjoyed watching both winghaven’s movies, I haven’t been watching that much ET movies because my old pc couldn’t play them :D In Quake3 ‘get quaked’ and ‘annihilation’ and in COD4 ‘fnatic.mintR sniper movie’. In real last time I watched ‘The happening’ it wasn’t that bad. The best and my favourite movie is ‘Remember the titans’. I almost cried on it, it’s a really touching movie.

What is your favourite sort, kind of music?

I don’t have my favourite kind of music I just like all which are good. I like reggae, Hungarian reggae and Hungarian ‘underground’… I also like Tiesto and Guns’n’roses.

What are you doing mostly in your free time?

I like summer, but I haven’t got that much free time, because I’m working. I’m playing football with my friends and I’m going to the lakeside to have a sunbathe and stuff… Girls at weekends, blabla… :)
