Last weekend I decided it's time to go and make an interview with some guy. It had to be someone known, skilled, someone that achieved something and is playing active. I also thought it would be nice, if it was a rifler. This is the outcome of that thinking. Ladies and gentelmen, I give you PolandKrein.

Hi Krein, for starter, can you introduce yourself to our readers, what are you doing, when you are not playing ET?

My name is Kamil Maj, I’m 21 years old and I study at Politechnika Wroclawska. As for the hobby I have so many of them that I don’t know if there’s a point in listing all up. Lately it’s mostly piano but it changes fast.

How and when did your adventure with ET start and where does your nick come from?

I think it was after an ET review in CD-Action. I read it and since I was bored I downloaded it and just kept playing. I remember that for my first clan I had a tryout with Zorika from SoA on goldrush 1v1. My nick came from a some flash game I played. I don’t remember the title nor what it was about but it was some random rpg game.

You have Any good memories from your first clan?

I’ve met there a lot of great people (Gothar, morph, brit, bajka, rain, scorpion and many more). Unfortunately there were some misunderstandings and SoA was no more but most of us created the clan called screwdrivers where I got to know dialer. I’ve kept in touch with some of those people for a long time because we played some other games together, mostly random mmos (Guild Wars etc.).

And when did you decide to play rifle, from what you are mainly known?

It was in SoA, scorpion was rifling but he was not happy with it (like with many things back then) and that’s how the switch happened. I did quite well so I just played it for a long time. To be honest I’m not sure if it was a good decision.

Let’s jump to the future. With which clan did you accomplish most and where did you enjoy playing? Maybe it was the same clan?

I’ve accomplished most with tMoe. Crossfire LANs are the most prestigious events after all. I've enyojed the game the most in screwdrivers though. Those people were just irreplaceable.

Now that you mentioned it, the LANs. On how many did you play and what did you win?

A lot. Six in Poland, if I count correctly. Few 2nd and 3rd places and only top6 on PGA. In Netherlands it was 5th place on CC5 and 3rd place on CIC7. Besides the last one I've haven't won anything relevant. It’s not CS to win prizes everywhere.

Now for the current events. The next season of EC and EMS is coming, we have many returns and the community is doing great. You think that ET will live again or is it just temporary activity?

I think that ET got the chance to strengthen its’ position comparing to other games. There is a chance to make something interesting out of it (but lets not exaggerate, it won’t be CS) and we only need some support from the community. Too bad a huge part of it is a bit retarded. For the next 6 months ET will be very active. Till the LAN in Belgium everyone will play and if Tosspot will announce next Crossfire event we have more less 9 months. There is no point in further planning.

Right, the community. Or to be exact, the communities. You move around both Polish and European ones. What do they both have in common and what are the differences between them?

What they share for sure is the love to flame and whine. Polish community, besides all the arguments seems to be much more connected. We had a lot more different LANs, in Europe there are only Crossfire events and Enlarged. Besides that the scenes are not that different, we don’t like them, they don’t like us.

Please tell our readers about your plans for the future.

Oh well. For now it’s CB EC and ESL EMS, then the LAN in Antwerp, maybe also the one in Denmark, depends on how much support we will get from tMoe (we hope to go on those LANs still as tMoe).

Few words about your work as ESL admin? Why did you decide to do it?

A lot of people accused me that I was talking a lot about how bad the admins are and how people in general are idle while I myself am not helping. ESL just opened recruitment for admin spots and I thought that they could use a Polish one in most professional ET league. So far M1st3r is teaching me this and that (I even received a 32 pages long manual) and I’ll not administer any important tournaments like EMS for now. I’m waiting for spring season to start, because probably I’ll have a lot of work in the lower leagues (I hope so).

Lets hope that people will act the same way. Last question about current events, the change from 6on6 to 5on5. Was it a good idea?

Definitely yes, 5on5 is much more faster and less predictable. There is also easier to organize events (and prizes) and there's also the e-sport tendency to use that format in fps games. The more we get closer to games like CoD and CS, while leaving the key factors of ET like objectives and spawns, the better. I think this change should have been done at the times of PGA. Back then it could help ET much more than now (and quicker).

Thanks for your time and for showing the real Krein. Now is your moment for shoutouts.

Thanks. I’d mostly like to give shoutout to wiaderko. Good luck in your new job. It’s a pity that it didn’t allow you to play ET with us. Also shoutout to Homer and 1stCav. Too bad you didn’t manage to give direct invite in CB EC to them but the 2nd part of your the plan "giving tMoe hard bracket" can still work out so good luck guys.
