Journals
(remember the post times are screwed - my first reaction wasn't to ignore the fire & post a journal :p )
It's 3 am, I'm hungry & chips seem like a good idea. So I set the fat on & heard off to wait for it to heat up.
Maybe 5/10 minutes or so later there's this crackling coming from the kitchen (computer room is next door to the kitchen) - seems it'd been longer than I thought.
Opening the door I'm greeted by a room full of smoke & a fire raging on the cooker. The pan, roll of paper towels next to it, extractor fan & part of the cupboards above where all ablaze. Not knowing what to do & thinking the entire kitchen was on fire I shout for me Dads help.
So my Dad hearing this comes racing down the stairs, trips & falls head over arse down the bottom of the stairs. He's lieing on the floor dazed, I think he knocked himself out & the firebrigade are called.
Embarassingly (luckily :p ), super Mum legs it down the stairs - hops over my Dad & deals with the fire =D The firebrigade arrive a few minutes later with the full works - we where lucky I'd noticed it.
You'd be amazed at the mess. Walls right through the house are blackened near the roof, cooker & cupboards wrote off.
Luckily we're just coughing from the smoke, nothing worst.
Chip pans are bad guys :f
