So, it was a friday evening and I was normally surfing the intarwebs(!!) when suddently my <3SUSE<3 gave me an error (that had something to do with /dev/pts). It requested that I would boot the PC, which I did, because nothing was working.
But then, it didnt boot to linux anymore. After mounting /dev/pts, nothing happened and I was feeling sad.
Couple of days went by and I went to the nearby store to request some help. They said that there was nothing they could do. I was again pretty sad, because I would have to say BB to 30gbs of important stuff. I was going to format, but instead, I borrowed Ubuntu installer from my friend.
After 3 hours of fiddling with stuff (figured out that repair system didnt work nor it wouldnt install again), I created a new partition, installed Ubuntu there. Ok, now I am running on Ubuntu for a while, but before I can do something else, I need to find a way to get the important data from the old partition.
How in the hell I am supposed to do that? I cant get to the Suse system, nor I cant reach the files from here (or can I?).
So, post a solution to my problem, or funny pics or anything.
ps. If someone has stolen my ET-config , please give it back, its the most important thing I need from my old partition :)
pps. BTW, I tossed away my old mouse (ye ye, the ball one with one broken button (mouse1) so now I am using a 80s style mouse, which sucks even more, but at least it has 2 buttons, going to buy a Copperhead or something when I get my normal OS on again.
