Democasts

Well ET/any game is unplayable on this pc and I'm escaping the relatives so need to occupy myself...

I've only recently come across democasts from this esr journal.

Think it's a great idea and would be nice for ET, there's a few problems though, for a start is creating a democast possible in ET? Personally can't see any reason why it isn't but meh. Sounds like it is in Q3, the same game engine 'n that.

Then the other biggie, after we're over the "ah shit it's not actually possible" stage is this. I'm using his guide, which is for Q4 specific but is pretty general in it's wording, cites Q3...

That's the command that triggers the shoutcast to play, in Quake this is only once per map and so perfect. The problem in ET arises that we're stopwatch, so it's said twice which would cause the shoutcast to start again...

I've also no idea what a sound shader is =) so any infos?
