adobe after effects

heya i need someone to tell me some serious shit that dsnt work here...so i have this uncompressed avi here although it lags in winamp u can watch it and hear the sound/.wav.
So if i import it to aae and run a prewied i cant hear any sound is there an option to change so i can hear the sound coz it would be pretty helpfull for syncing
