annoying mouse problem (g400)

Hey, Europe Crossfire!

I recently purchased the Logitech G400 mouse, hoping to replace my worn-out MX518 with a newer model. However, I've been experiencing some problems with the mouse. It works perfectly fine outside of ET, but when I'm in-game, SOME WEIRD SHIT BE GOIN' ON. My sensitivity feels like it's been doubled (or even tripled), and my mouse will sometimes jump across the screen. I haven't made any changes to the mouse, and I'm not using the shitty Logitech software that comes with it. I'm running Windows 7 with acceleration turned off both @ Windows and @ ET.

Anyone know how to fix this? :( IT'S QUITE THE NUISANCE!

Accelfix? USB Rate?
I've already ran AccelFix in the past for my MX518, and I'm using the default polling rate - 500 hz.

Off to school now, so won't be able to reply for a bit. :p

1000hz is the default hz for G400, you shouldn't change
Parent
ok well I haven't changed anything, so I guess I'm using 1000 hz atm then :D

Use the 'shitty' logitech software and http://lawliet.wippiespace.com/mouse By IceQ
I've found that SetPoint did more harm than good for my MX518, and the mouse worked fine without it.. why should I have to use it for the G400? (Not flaming, I appreciate the help. Just wondering what the advantage of using the software is as opposed to not using it.)
Parent
On my g9 the software works fine, and I don't see any reason to not use the dedicated software for a certian hardware.
Parent
installed the software, still doing the same shit :/
Parent
Yeh, use setpoint and if it doesn't work, change the mouse using ur guarantee
Had the same when I started using my G400, just had to change my sens from 3.89 to 3.0 :D
u so crazy !:P

I KNOW MAN.

Maybe I'm not explaining it properly.. but it's not the sensitivity which is the problem, I can deal with that obviously by changing numbers around. When I move the mouse, it feels like it's accelerating/jumping/bouncing across the screen.. it's not smooth at all.
Parent
Then i suggest you install the drivers which are needed for the G400 (its not setpoint, its called "Logitech gaming software" which will hopefully solve your problem ;)

ps: I had the same feeling in the beginning that it was accelerating etc, it stopped when I installed that software.

ITs special made for the g400.

try rinput
I've already run MarkC_Windows7_MouseFix in the past for my MX518, which does the same thing as RInput, right? Or do I have to use it again because I got a new mouse :D?
Parent
you never know if you don't try
Parent
Deep. But that's why I said that.. I'm asking you if it's the same thing. However, I shall try it!
Parent
tried it, doesn't appear to help at all :/

bind [ sensitivity #
bind ] sensitivity #

FIXED
do you use ati video card?
no, I use NVIDIA
Parent
then i don't know how to solve your problem :{D
Parent
haha thx anyway :D <3
Parent
got the same problem, did you solve it by any chance?
Parent
try switching the usb ports
try re-installing the drivers
try installint the drivers but changing the settings, dpi, ghz, etc
try it on another computer if you do have it (different O/S)
because a friend of mine had the simmilar problem.. so he followed these steps and got it to work but idk anything else :p
