Reso probleeeem

Hey, to make it short.

My resolution on windows and ingame ( config ) are 1600*900

but when i load my cfg i got 2 black sidebars and the picture is not even

dunno what to do ( reinstalled windows ).

help plox :D

set displayrefresh on what your monitor can handle or try on video card to see if it's set on aspectratio or full screen...

when you are using same resolution ingame as in windows, then it should not matter what your displayrefresh is, it only gives you black corners if ur using lower resolution than windows.

well im using 1680/1050 and if i set display > 60 it gives black sidebars(same if i change the r_mode), but thnx for explanation

i had the same problem and fixed..do u have nvidia card ? #smanetti.bros and i'll explein what to do... cus sometimes it happen again after u fixed

In nvidia drivers settings use Nvidia scalling or something like that.

Is something related to scalling in graph drivers and try to use exact same resolution ingame

welcome to the club :> played like this for months because i couldn't use a proper fov to use a widescreen resolution.

Either way, the fix is easy. Select your resolution/hz according to the max supported by your screen (lcd?)

got HP2009V, widescreen 21" i guess, got 75 displayrefresh and 1600*900 reso, worked before tho :o

does your screen have a button to "fit" the image? if yes click, and is 1600x900 default res?

experiment with that value (force it, leave it blank, different values) but that is what caused the problem for me and everyone i know who had that problem.
also check if you maybe have a profile for ET in ur driver which forces stuff.

hm dont seems to help me, i remember i had that problem on lan, because they had other monitors but, i got the perfect for mine and also changed a bit on the resolutions.. ive never had that tho :D, 1st time it happens and also it seems my screen is not sharp enough its abit unsharp i think ive done something for it in the past but cant remember

why not use r_mode X? maybe that helps

tried the only one is working is r_mode 8 but i dont want it that breigth, cant play with that shit :D

well then its not a problem of ur cfg but of ur drivers. there has to be some wrong setting somewhere.

select the setting without black bars, test just on your desktop

or use your monitor controls to turn off any scaling options
