Epic album, just a pity I didn't really get to know this band until 1990. Got the original Killing Is My Business with the These Boots cover on it though. =)

There just aint anything better than pure & raw oldschool thrashmetal, i wish they could come back to theyr roots ;_; that i could say to 80% of the old thrashbands nowadays :<

It was just about as awful as when James Hetfield tried to "sing" on the later Metallica albums. I liked the fact they couldn't sing as the characteristics of their voice pretty much suited the music.

no i liked the old albums and i was there 2 times alrdy at concert so no im not. but its not open air this time and i do not like the new stuff. and i dunno price is too much just for liking some of their songs :)

I've never seen RHCP live I always seemed to miss them at various concerts. The time around Californiacation album for alot of bands was epic though.

U2, thats a good example... I only listen to the really old stuff... the new stuff is pretty bad. I listened to a beautiful day for a while then got sick of it. Power track such as Bloody sunday etc are fantastic though.

I have to admit I was a bit of a rage against the machine fan also...

Well the first album science I didn't particularly catch onto. The third album Morning View was pretty good but my favorite by far was Make Yourself.... Totally saved me on the transatlantic flights!

Good call. Make Yourself is probably my favorite as well, although I think I used to listen to Morning View a bit more simply because Aqueous Transmission is very high up in my top-travel songs. Have you heard anything of that If Not Now, When? Album that came out last July?

No, not been listening to main stream music for a while. Only stuff I listen to is various dance music complimations such as A state of trance. The only time I get to listen to music is in the gym, dance music rocks for keeping rhythm!

I like their old stuff but apparently this album is shit. Not listened to it myself yet but burnt it for my dad and he said he listened to it twice all the way through and said he won't be listening to it again.

i gotta agree it is not that good... well "Rain dance maggie" is quite a nice chilling song tho.

But please stop the whine about John... as if he would have such a huge influence ... it is still Flea and Anthony Kiedis, who cares about the rest...

only that rain dance maggie song got me, rest is alright for listening but to be fair, i had it playing a couple times over the last days and not once did i consciously listen to the whole thing, most of the time i noticed the album finished because itunes started playing something else. not a good sign imo.

To be honest, i like this album. Definitely not their best or even top 3, but still a solid piece of music.
